Three great destinations for a winter sun holiday

If you're hoping to escape the dreary drizzle of home for warmer climes, browse winter sun holidays. There are plenty of places to choose from where you can bask in golden rays and leave memories of blustery, wet days behind.
Among the top locations for a sunshine holiday in winter is Egypt. Book a break to Sharm el Sheikh, where you'll find temperatures still reach between 15 and 35 degrees C even in the colder months!
The city boasts numerous beaches and wonderful landscapes around its outskirts, comprising craggy red mountains and breathtaking sea views. Pay a visit and you can enjoy snorkelling in the waters and exploring the coral under the surface, or head to the Ras Mohammed Marine National Park for some excellent diving opportunities.
You can make your way round the Bedouin handicraft stands and pick up jewellery, embroidery, Turkish delight and leather items here. Afterwards, why not embark on a desert adventure and visit the Coloured Canyon?
Mount Sinai is a popular tourist hotspot due its biblical connections, and there's also the Greek Orthodox Monastery of St Catherine - which dates back to the sixth century - to be found here.
Meanwhile, Marrakech in Morocco is another top location for sun-searchers, and the city is a real treat for the senses. Admire the warmly-coloured buildings of the old town and inhale the fragrant spices being sold at the market stalls.
There's plenty of delicious cuisine to sample in this vibrant capital city, as well as numerous attractions to visit, from the stately Bahia Palace and gardens to the photography museum.
Enjoy an exhilarating quad bike ride through the desert or explore the beautiful Islamic college of Ben Youssef Madrasa, which dates back to the 1500s.
If you'd like to stay closer to home, why not take a look at visiting the Costa del Sol? A firm favourite, the holiday destination boasts a wealth of towns and beaches, so whether you want to be in the midst of hustle and bustle or somewhere quiet and relaxed, you're sure to find both here.
There's plenty of opportunity to head to the beautiful beaches of the region, which is also known for its thriving nightlife should you feel like letting your hair down.
For a spot of sightseeing, head to the Arabic bathhouse in Ronda, the Viera Dolmen corridor tomb in Antequera or the fortress of Alcazaba, building of which began in the 11th century.
If you're already itching to get away, take a look at last minute deals to save some money and start planning your break today!
